LG Starts Seeding Android 7.0 Nougat Update to the Two-Year-Old LG V10

Once upon a time, LG wasn't bothered at all to update their devices to latest Android version. That got changed in recent times as the company is regularly pushing software updates to its phones ranging from budget to high-end phones. Noticeably, the LG V20 was the first smartphone to run Android Nougat out-of-the-box, ahead of Google's Pixel phones.

And today, the company has started seeding the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the two-year-old LG V10 and the first smartphone in the V series. The V10 was originally released back in the year 2015 with powerful hardware on board.

Earlier this year, LG stated that they would release the update to V10 in the Q2 2017 and they have released the update today. However, the new update is currently rolling out only in the company's homeland South Korea. But LG will soon roll out the update in other countries as well.

LG V10 owners in South Korea with model number F600L, F600K, and G600S can update their device via LG Bridge desktop software. The V10 gets the latest LG UX 5.0 user interface that brings a plethora of new features including the stock Android Nougat ones and other LG's new features.

LG UX 5.0 brings the multi-window support that was introduced by Google in the Android Nougat. Also, you can scale the device's text size including the icon size as well. The update also brings a completely revamped notification panel, which is in-line with stock Android 7.0's notification centre.

The Settings app gets a new design which now adds a new alert at the top of the screen to easily check the current status of important settings such as Airplane mode and power saving mode. The call blocking feature also makes its way to the LG V10 with the new update. Furthermore, there are few changes to the LG's system apps, and new languages have been added to the phone.

LG may roll out the new update globally starting June as they have promised earlier this year. We will update you once LG releases the update in India.
