Vodafone starts offering 10 GB 4G data at the price of 1 GB for new 4G smartphones

Vodafone India the second largest operator by subscriber base which recently crossed the 200 Million mark is starting to feel the heat from the entry of arch rival Jio which is currently providing free 4G data to all subscribers till 31st December. To prevent the churn of its high revenue generating data consuming user segment, the operator has launched an offer where it will offer an additional 9 GB of 4G data as promotion for subscribers recharging with a 1GB 4G data pack (Rs. 250 or above with minimum 28 days validity) upto 31st December.

The offer is valid for new 4G smartphones which have not been registered or used on the Vodafone network in the past 6 months. In Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata circles, the promotional 9GB data is usable only on 4G network and if the network falls back onto 3G or 2G in areas of no 4G coverage it will be charged at base tariff if no other 3G or 2G data balance is present in the user's account.

In Uttar Pradesh (West), Uttar Pradesh(East), Haryana, Karnataka, Gujarat, West Bengal ,Kerala , Tamil Nadu , Maharashtra & Goa, Assam, North East states, Rajasthan - 9GB 3G data will be credited if the subscriber recharges with 1GB or above Pack and the promotional data is usable only in night from 12 AM till 6 AM. (usage on 4G handset only)

With the festive season approaching, we are giving a greater reason to customers to upgrade to 4G handsets. With this offer, we are encouraging new 4G handset users to enjoy the Vodafone SuperNet™ experience to the fullest and explore the wonders of the internet in a truly worry-free manner.

Vodafone is also offering free subscription to TV, movies & music on Vodafone play till December 31, 2016. Vodafone customers can use this opportunity to download and enjoy the vast entertainment options provided on Vodafone Play which offers 100+ Live TV channels, over 18000 movies and TV show titles and a wide range of all genres of music, in partnership with HUNGAMA PLAY and HOOQ.

Existing Prepaid or Postpaid subscribers who have bought a new 4G smartphone need to head here and enter their 10 digit Vodafone number and generate a 4 digit OTP which will be sent to them over SMS and needs to be entered on the site. Following this they need to insert the sim in the new smartphone for the offer to get activated and then recharge (for prepaid) or subscribe to addon (for postpaid) a 1GB 4G data pack to get the additional promo data.
