Xiaomi touts Redmi Note 3 to be the ‘Best-selling’ mobile phone in India

Xiaomi seems to be riding high on the success of its Redmi Note 3 smartphone, which was launched in March, this year. The company claims that the device has touched a new sales mark and is now the best-selling smartphone in India.

Redmi Note 3

As per a tweet by Xiaomi, Around 2.3 million units of the Redmi Note 3 have been sold to date. Xiaomi claims that Indian sales of the Redmi Note 3 averaged one sale per 7 seconds. Last month, Xiaomi announced that it had shipped 1.75 million units of the Redmi Note 3 in a period of five months.

To commemorate the sales mark achieved by the Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi is organizing an online contest (game); wherein participants can win Redmi Note 3 or coupons. The game would require players to type the auto-generated sentences in 7 seconds or less. Each player would get three chances to win till Thursday. On a funny note, the nature of the game looks doable for writers or keyboarders (we stand a fair chance). For the ones who are not able to win in the three attempts, you can earn grace chances by sharing Xiaomi’s post on Facebook. With this method, users can receive up to 9 chances each day until Thursday.

To recap, the Redmi Note 3 comes powered with Snapdragon 650 chipset. It is available in two variants – 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The device runs MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop and supports dual 4G SIM cards (Micro + Nano). The handset packs a 4050mAh battery with fast charging support. On the camera front, the Redmi Note 3 sports a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash along with a 5MP front camera. The 2GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 9,999, while the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 11,999.

150 meters or feet? 150 meters is too far to easily share a connection using wireless routers. You will need a specialized antenna.

use this device TP-Link CPE510 and enjoy your jio wifi in outdoor condition upto 15km i have personally tested this router upto 800meter in crowded building area with 100% signal strength good, but you need to buy 2 device if you plan to use this device for above 1km range one for sender and 1 for receiver

Thought of buying this or Redmi 3S prime, later postponed the plan because neither phones support Band 28 (700 MHz) which is going to be key in this October 2016 auction.
Now days telecom companies like Jio and Idea are fast in implementation of bands and BSNL also planning to launch 4G with the same band.

It may be a little better but it costs 5 times more.

Third class xiaomi note costs Rs.12000 right. Then means Note 4 costs Rs.28000 which is just 2.3 times approx. Check out.

I never canvas others to buy high end handset. I am asking not to look only at the price and sacrificing the quality before buying anything.

Samsung Note 4 may be powerful but it’s 4G is worst. Xiaomi phone 3-4 bar LTE, LYF phone 3-2 bar LTE, Samsung phone 1-2 bar LTE. Compare this with other phones too. Before buying new 4G smartphone check 4G signal where you won’t get full signal. I & my friends did this test by mistake. We are talking about +ve & -ve things about smartphones of different brands. Like Samsung have great display, some other brand is too costly etc. But suddenly my friend saw 1 bar LTE in his Samsung Note 4 & saw 3 to 4 bars in… Read more »

Samsung note devices are banned in airways…be careful it can be powerful blastoooo before Diwali. Define powerful and reliable? Very very poor thinking..do you buy if xiaomi make a phone for 60k… iPhone 7 costs 220 dollars to make. Sold for 649dollars..but your so called worst class companies sell devices at ultra marginal profits..low price doesn’t mean to be cheap, all internals are from top companies..change the way you think. Its too immature kid. Have money then buy ferrai, why compare two different priced things…

Redmi note 3 is very good phone. But, xiomi is horrible when it comes to repair of phone. If your phone is having any problems then you are out of luck, dealing with them is just ridiculous.

Their phones might be great but their service is one of the most horrible experiencesyou will ever have! Its been 33 days since I had given my phone for service and am yet to receive it. Even worse over the last week I have called their mobile number (service centre doesnt even have a helpline number) atleast 50 times and each time the calls went unanswered!

Samsung phones may not offer good value for money but their service quality is definitely very good.
