Google has introduced a new search mode for Android phones that enables the users to search content stored inside the apps. Titled as “In Apps”, the option can be found inside Android’s Google app. It searches third-party user-installed apps as well.
An impressive thing about “In Apps” is that it works offline. The search feature will help users find people’s names inside apps, images, videos, notes, and more offline. Coming as a part of Android 7.0 Nougat, In Apps feature will first appear on LG V20 smartphone, which is expected to be debut in IFA 2016 in Berlin. There is “Settings” provided for advanced search and thus, the user can control the apps that undergo the search within the app.
“As smartphone features become increasingly diverse, a growing number of smartphone users are willing to search for more information saved on their mobile devices. The V20 combined with Google’s evolving search tools will allow users to search for information they need faster in a more convenient and smart manner,” commented Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company.
Although a lot many pieces of information are not available about LG V20 smartphone, the company has confirmed about the second screen as similar to V10 released in the UK earlier this year. It will also sport a dual-rear camera. The In Apps feature can be set as a shortcut on the home screen.
