Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Special Edition features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixels resolution, a 1 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek (MT6735P) Processor paired with 3GB DDR3 RAM. It sports Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. There is an 8MP on the back, and a 5MP front-facer.

There is a 16GB inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. A 2000mAh battery backs the smartphone and promises up to 150 hours of standby time and a talk time of up to 4.5 hours. In terms of connectivity, Canvas 5 Lite Special Edition supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB options.

Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Special Edition is listed on the company’s website, however, the price is yet to be revealed. Recently, it launched the Unite 4 Plus at Rs. 7,999. Unlike Unite 4 Plus, Micromax has improved the RAM to 3GB in Canvas 5 Lite and has offered a stylish premium looks, two factors that would up the cost of the smartphone. Certain websites claim the price to be Rs. 8499.
