Vodafone, India's second largest telecom operator, has launched an Internet Data Credit facility for its customers 'ICredit' across all circles. The 'ICredit' would help the entire prepaid customer base in situations where one has a low balance in their account. For each request, customers will get 30 MB 3G/4G/2G data for 24 hours for which the company will charge only Rs 10 for the service cost.

To get the Internet Data Credit or 'ICredit', Vodafone customers have to send a message with the keyword 'ICREDIT' to 144 (Toll-free).Post which the data would be credited to the user's account. However, those customers who have already used Vodafone's 'Talktime Credit' on the same day or haven't paid their dues would not be able to access the Internet Data Credit facility.

Vodafone isn't the pioneer to offer data loan or Internet data credit facility as Idea Cellular is offering the service for many months. A few months ago, Vodafone launched Internet Data Credit for exclusive 'U' packs which was not available to all customers and required one to recharge it with 'U' combo packs to get benefits.
