Meizu m3 launched with 5-inch display and 13MP primary camera

Taking its M series forward, Meizu has announced the m3, which is the successor to the m2. The smartphone is launched in China for now and is priced at 599 yuan (approx. Rs. 6,150) for the 2GB RAM/16GB expandable internal storage (up to 128GB) variant and 799 yuan (approx. Rs. 8200) for the 3GB RAM/32GB expandable internal storage (up to 128GB) variant. The device is already available for pre-ordering in China and will start shipping from April 29. Meizu has not revealed any detail regarding the global launch yet.

The Meizu m3 comes with a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels), and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor, which is beefier than the one of its predecessor. The device sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, along with a 5-megapixel front snapper and fingerprint sensor. The Hybrid dual-SIM smartphone features a polycarbonate body and supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE (Meizu has not specified the bands yet), 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS / GLONASS. It is backed by a 2,870mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Flyme 5 Operating System.
