Huawei had been postponing its upcoming flagship, the Huawei P9, for a long time. The company did not even make any move even at the MWC this year. However, in the latest turn of events Huawei has sent out press invites for the launch of a mystery device that we expect to be the Huawei P9. The invite reads,"Change the way you see the world". It also mentions the launch date, which is April 6, 2016.
The invite also carries a hashtag #oo that we think, hints towards the dual-camera setup that the Huawei P9 is expected to feature. Going by the past leaks and rumors that surfaced about the Huawei P9, the smartphone is dubbed to come in four variants. The main variant might feature a 5.2-inch display, Kirin 950 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage.
The second variant is expected to be named as P9 Special Enhanced version, which will come with a 6.2-inch QHD+ display, Kirin 955 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB storage. The third variant is expected to be a toned-down one, named as Huawei P9 Lite. The Lite version might feature a 5-inch display, Snapdragon 650 chipset, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The fourth variant might be named as the Huawei P9 Max, which will come with a 6.8-inch display, Kirin 955 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
The above-mentioned information is based on the rumors, so one must take it with a pinch of salt. All the information will be unleashed on April 6, so we gotta wait. Given the rumored specs, what do you think about the Huawei P9? Let us know through the comment section below!
