Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 will be officially launched on January 26 in China for CNY 1,299 (Rs. 13,342), which is the same price as the 64GB variant of the tablet with Android operating system. The company had promised back in November 2015 about selling a variant of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system.

The Mi Pad 2 features a 7.9-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,526 x 2,048 pixels, an Intel Arom X5-Z8500 processor with quad-core 2.24GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage space, but it lacks a microSD card slot. It also features an 8-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, and stereo speakers.

Connectivity wise, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 has you covered with dual-band Wi-Fi ac/a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, and a USB Type-C reversible port. It packs a 6,190 mAh battery inside its metal body. Xiaomi is yet to announce the availability of the Mi Pad 2 in India, so we can't say whether it will bring its Windows 10-powered variant in the country.

If launched with a price tag below Rs. 15,000, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 can be a worthy competitor to devices like Lenovo Miix 3 8.0, HP Stream 8 32GB, and Dell Venue 8 Pro 32GB.
