As if Apple Watch was not enough to ridicule us with its high pricing, LG too has joined the overpriced bandwagon of Gold smartwatches. The company has unveiled the 23 Karat Gold-plated smartwatch, named as LG Watch Urbane Luxe. Basically, it is an overhauled version of the Urbane with a fancy strap and gold-plated body, priced at $1200 (approx. Rs. 79,715).

The design and shape are just like the regular Urbane watch, and so are the specifications. Although the Alligator leather band does provide a posh look to the watch, which was earlier a case with LG for not providing good bands for its previous versions of smartwatches. All being said, the LG Watch Urbane Luxe is a limited edition device, with only 500 units up for sale.

To add more craziness to the deal, LG has engraved a unique serial number to each unit of Urbane Luxe, so that users can be assured of its authenticity.

As of now, the smartwatch will only be available for pre-order in the United States at select Jeweler Reeds outlets.
