Dell unveils Venue 10 7000 tablet targeting the business segment

Dell has unveiled a full-size variant of its sleek Venue 8 7000 Android tablet, named as Venue 10 7000. It features a 10.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device has been designed with the idea of catering to the Android power users.

Venue 8 7000In addition, the device also has an optional keyboard dock available among the accessories for the tablet. The keyboard dock turns the tablet into a mobile workstation. In terms of specifications, the Venue 10 7000 is powered by the Intel Atom Z3580 chipset, which also powers its predecessor. It has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage.




Venue 8 7000Dell Venue 10 7000 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with RealSense 3D technology. It is backed by a 7,000 mAh battery and also features dual stereo speakers for better sound output. It has been priced at $499 (approx.  Rs. 31,000) and the optional keyboard will be adding another $130 to the total value, which sums up to a cumulated price of $629 (approx. Rs. 39,000). As of now, it will be available starting May in China, Canada, and the United States. Dell has not yet revealed any information regarding its availability other than the mentioned regions.

Commenting on the launch, Neil Hand, vice president, Dell Tablet Group said, "Dell customers want more from their tablets. They want to be productive and get work done wherever they are, they want a great entertainment experience, and they want to carry something that turns heads. The Venue 10 7000 gives our customers all that and more: enhanced productivity with a full-sized keyboard and Android for Work, a brilliant display and innovative features like the Intel RealSense snapshot depth camera, all wrapped in a gorgeous design."
