16000mAh and 5000mAh Mi Power Banks to go on sale in India on June 9

Xiaomi has unveiled two more power banks in India, one being 16000mAh and the other 5000mAh, for a price of Rs. 1,399 and Rs. 699 respectively. They will up for purchase from June 9.

The company announced both the devices through its Facebook page. Both Power Banks are crafted in anodized aluminum, which is similar to the previous Power Banks released by Xiaomi. The firm had already introduced the 16000mAh Power Bank in China in November 2014.




Xiaomi Power Bank IndiaEarlier this month, Xiaomi listed the 5,000mAh Mi Power Bank on Mi.com website in U.S., U.K., France, and Germany. The 16000mAh power bank comes with two USB 2.0 ports, one microUSB port, and 5.1V/3.6A of maximum output. It measures 145×60.4×22mm and weighs 350 grams with conversion rate of up to 93 percent. As touted by Xiaomi, the device can charge Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G ( 3,100 mAh battery) 3.5 times on a single full charge.

On the other hand, the 5000mAh Power Bank comes with a single USB 2.0 port and microUSB port with 5.1V/2.1A max output. It measures 125×69×9.9mm, and weighs 156 grams. Xiaomi touts this one to completely charge a Redmi Note 4G for one time. On its Facebook page, Xiaomi has also mentioned about a voting contest that will run on its official website. The content would require users to vote for one among the two power banks, the one selected will go on sale first on June 9.
