We were expecting Xiaomi to come up with a worthy smartwatch to match up the competition in the wearable sector. But the company was instead, working on a smartwatch for kids. Xiaomi has launched a smartwatch for kids, named as Mi Bunny. Well, we were not expecting this twist, right? The wearable has been priced at ¥299 (around Rs. 3,068). It is listed on Mi.com and is currently available for China only.

The smartwatch comes equipped with connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS/GLONASS tracking. Aimed at kids safety, it also has an SOS button, which when pressed, sends the GPS location of the device clubbed with a few seconds of voice recording. These features are pretty impressive in terms of child safety. It also sends alert messages whenever the kid goes outside the allowed periphery. Also, the device supports voice calls and comes pre-loaded with a prepaid SIM card. It compatible with smartphones running Android 4.2 JellyBean and higher.

It is made of plastic with silicone straps and is backed by a 300mAh battery with a standby time of 6 days. We think it can prove to be very helpful for parents as they can always be aware of the location of the child.
