As said earlier, almost all the Xiaomi smartphones are available with attractive offers across the company's leading partner platforms- Flipkart and Amazon during their respective festive sales. "This achievement marks an industry first and is a key milestone for Xiaomi India," says the company.

Xiaomi is offering India's top-selling smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 at a flat Rs. 2,000 discount, meaning, the 4GB/64GB variant is available at just Rs. 10,999. Xiaomi says the Redmi Note 4 is the highest selling smartphone during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale.

Also, Xiaomi was the No.1 brand during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale in the mobile category during the first 48 hours. In fact, eight of the top nine selling smartphones within the smartphone category of Amazon was Xiaomi products said the company in a press statement.

Raghu Reddy, Head - Online Sales, Xiaomi India said, “We are extremely proud to be sharing this milestone with our fans, partners and employees. More than six months of rigorous planning and hard work has helped us set a new benchmark in the industry and within Xiaomi. Last year we sold more than a million smartphones within 18 days, and this year we were able to achieve a similar number within 48 hours."

"Based on what we know, no other brand has ever achieved this in India. Our carefully planning has also ensured that high selling smartphones such as Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 are in stock throughout the festive sale. We are extremely thankful to all our Mi Fans for their amazing support, and will continue to work hard to constantly outdo ourselves as we have done on many occasions in the past," he added.

It is also said that Flipkart sold more than 1.3 Million smartphones in the first 20 hours since the sale started on September 21, and Redmi Note 5 was the top-selling smartphone, contributing significantly to the overall sales numbers.

Amazon’s Great Indian Shopping Festival began on September 21, and the Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2, 10000mAH Mi Powerbank 2 and Mi Band - HRX edition were the No.1 products in their respective categories.

Xiaomi also confirmed that its Mi Preferred Partner stores, Large Format Retail partners, Mi Home stores and mi.com also contributed significantly to this milestone.
