Vodafone’s Surprise – reduced roaming rates for its customers travelling to Dubai

Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, today announced unmatched rates for its customers roaming in Dubai between 28th January 2010 and 28th February 2010. This period coincides with the world renowned shopping festival in the city.

The roaming rates have been reduced by 40% on outgoing calls, 83% on incoming calls, and 40% on data services. This limited period offer can be availed by both Prepaid and Postpaid Vodafone customers at no additional rental charge. Customers need to select the DU network in UAE to avail these special rates.

Speaking at the occasion, K Sankara Narayanan Chief Executive Officer,Vodafone Essar South Limited, said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of this offer for our customers traveling to Dubai in this period. This exclusive offer is excellent value for money and allows seamless connectivity with family and friends while roaming in Dubai.”

is there any roaming charges for vodafone postpaid while kolkata circle connection roams in west bengal ?
vodafone is charging me for romaing in west bengal while my simcard is of kolkata circle…

@SATA – there should be no roaming charges between MUM-ROM (Rest of Maharashtra), CHN-TN as well as KOL-WB … if you are being charged, check whether you have used a non Vodafone network, such as Reliance GSM or AIRCEL…. if that is the case, you will be charged.

@ Jawd no, there are no roaming charges between UPE and UPW (use the same operators network)
