Vodafone India has come up with four new tariff plans for residents in Rest of Bengal circle who wish to join Vodafone's network through Mobile Number Portability (MNP) facility. All the four products are in-line with Vodafone’s endeavour to offer better value for money proposition to the customers.

The four plans unveiled by Vodafone are Rs. 493, Rs. 299. The first two plans are valid for 84 days whereas the last two plans are valid for 28 days.

The Rs. 493 plan offers free 84GB data (1GB 3G/4G data) and unlimited voice calling to any network, whereas the Rs. 299 plan gives unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls and 1GB 3G/4G data.

Speaking about the new offers, Arvinder Singh Sachdev, Business Head, Kolkata and West Bengal, Vodafone India, said, “We, at Vodafone, always try to offer maximum value to our customers, in terms of service, network and price. The West Bengal circle is predominantly a Pre-Paid market. Keeping the wide Pre Paid customer base in mind, we are very pleased to extend Vodafone’s value for money offers for pre-paid customers wanting to switch over to the Vodafone network.”

As said earlier, these plans are applicable only for customers who are porting into Vodafone network from another operator. And this plan is valid only for Bengal users at the moment, and there are no details on pan-India availability.

Firstly, you need to generate a Unique Porting Code (UPC) by sending an SMS as PORT to 1900. Instantly, you will receive an SMS with UPC, which you need to submit at the time of applying for a new SIM card. You can avail these offers at the time of applying for the new SIM card itself. Do make a note that an amount of Rs. 19 will be charged as porting charges on top of the standard plan you choose.
