Vodafone India today announced its Super VoLTE service rollout in Kolkata circle. Earlier, Vodafone rolled out VoLTE services in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra & Goa, Haryana, Kerala, Chennai, UP East, UP West, Karnataka, Punjab and confirmed the service expansion across the country in a phased manner over the next few months. However, Vodafone VoLTE currently supports a limited set of smartphones, so if you're from Kolkata with a supported handset, you can access Vodafone VoLTE for no additional charges. With Vodafone VoLTE, customers can enjoy HD voice calls with faster call connect time.

Vodafone first introduced its Super VoLTE services earlier this year and has been aggressively expanding the service to other circles. At this rate, Vodafone could launch the VoLTE service in its 4G circles by the end of 2018 itself.

Announcing the launch of the Vodafone VoLTE service, Arvinder Singh Sachdev Business Head – Kolkata and ROB, Vodafone India said, “As a leading telecom services provider in Kolkata, we have been making significant investments to expand, upgrade our network and to deploy new technologies, so as to ensure that we provide the finest service experience to our valued customers. Vodafone VoLTE is a big step towards further enhancing our customer experience and enabling our customers in Kolkata to explore newer possibilities with their smart devices.”

Furthermore, Vodafone VoLTE supported device list is growing bigger with every passing month. The recently launched Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 now supports Vodafone VoLTE. Other popular smartphones such as OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Xioami Mi Mix 2, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Honor 9 Lite, Apple iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9, Infinix Hot S3 and various other devices support Vodafone VoLTE. Vodafone is also promising to add more number of devices to the list going forward.

Customers should get a 4G SIM card to use Super VoLTE services, and users with dual-SIM handsets have to ensure that the Vodafone 4G SIM has been inserted in the data SIM slot/slot 1 and network mode has been set as 4G/3G/2G (Auto).
