I don’t under this operator’s strategy. They don’t cover normal terrain where there are significant population through which they can earn revenue. Now what’s the point if network is going to be underutilized? Even now network expansion in Karnataka from last 5-6 years.

They are investing only in places like Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Belgaum and Hubli-Dharwad. Even with 4G airtel is congested because of idea and vodafone. I want idea to get 3G spectrum in next auction.

Airtel doesn’t share its 4G network with Idea and Vodafone. It only shares its 3G network.

Vodafone Karnataka is providing better service than airtel and far-better-than useless Idea (in terms of net speed and customer care).

Idea has a very strange issue. Phone battery seems to die faster than usual on 2G. Doesn’t happen with 3G ( ICRA: airtel). Since then kept phone on 3G only. Can’t wait to port out 😀

Airtel beats Vodafone any day if you consider entire Karnataka circle.

Ever faced jump calls (calls connecting to some other number) on airtel? 🙂

I already ported out from idea.
Vodafone 3G available in only few places that is why I don’t like it. I don’t know why but Vodafone 3G using airtel’s network is much faster than idea 3G using airtel’s network. I use Vodafone as my secondary number because I don’t get 3G inside of my house and my primary number airtel’s 2G is very slow when compared to Vodafone 2G.

This is due to 1800 Mhz spectrum they are using and they are way behind the 900 Mhz operator holders like Idea and Airtel.

All biggies are lagging behind in 1800 Mhz holding circles except where RGSM had 900 Mhz like Westbengal , Bihar,Orissa,Assam where the later entrant like airtel in 1800 Mhz band dominating the 900 Mhz band

airtel is not so good in 1800 Mhz circles – Gujarat,Maharastra,Kerala,Haryana,

Vodafone is not so good in 1800 Mhz cirlces – Karnataka,AP,

They are not investing as much in 1800 Mhz circles like they doing for 900 Mhz circles

@Kaushik- Who said you that airtel do not poses 900 MHz across Assam , Rob, Orissa, Bihar&Jharkhand and NE circles? For your kind info since the inception of bharti airtel in this circles bharti’s 2g network is ridding on 900 MHz. Even you can check the spectrum data sheet.

That is the reason Bharti has the max subscribers in Bihar & Jharkhand, Odisha etc. as compared to Vodafone
