Real-Time Monitoring and Automated Response
The NetGuard EDR suite, specifically designed for telecom operators, will enable real-time, automated monitoring for Vodafone Idea, allowing for rapid detection and mitigation of endpoint-related security incidents.
According to the official release, this integration aims to minimise security gaps, reduce testing requirements, and optimise operational costs, while ensuring continuous service availability and performance of protected endpoints across the entire Operational Technology (OT) network.
Initial Rollout to Cover 4G Networks
Initially, the deployment will cover Vodafone Idea’s 4G networks, with plans to expand to its 5G network in the future. The vendor-agnostic capabilities of NetGuard EDR will seamlessly integrate with the company’s existing security tools, further enhancing its security framework and contributing to the Security Operations Center.
Commenting on the development, Vodafone Idea’s CTO said: “Vodafone Idea is fully committed to driving the next phase of network evolution, ensuring that our advanced solutions deliver both unmatched connectivity and security. As we embark on this journey with Nokia, we are focused on building networks that are resilient and capable of supporting the ever-growing demands of digital transformation, including heightened security risks.”
