Vodafone Idea Enhances Network in Haryana with L900 and L2100 Spectrum Upgrades

Vodafone Idea Enhances Network in Haryana with L900 and L2100 Spectrum Upgrades
Vodafone Idea (Vi) announced that it has enhanced indoor coverage and network capacity in Haryana by deploying an additional 5MHz in the L900 and L2100 bands. Specifically, Vi said it has doubled capacity in the 900 MHz band to 10 MHz across over 1,200 sites in more than 900 towns and increased the spectrum by 50 percent in the L2100 band, from 10MHz to 15MHz, across 1,000 sites in more than 800 towns. Haryana is a priority market for Vi, and the company plans to continue enhancing its network in the coming months, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Vi Expands Network Capacity in Haryana

With these upgrades, Vi customers in the districts of Rewari, Kurukshetra, Nuh, Mahendragarh, and towns like Jhajjar, Dharuhera, Gharaunda, Samalkha, Narwana, Mandi Dabwali, and many more will experience improved indoor connectivity and faster data speeds on VI GIGAnet (4G Network), Vodafone Idea said.

Commenting on the network enhancement, Vi said, 'Upgrading our network with the most efficient L900 as well as L2100 bands are important steps in enhancing network experience. This ensures that our customers can enjoy seamless connectivity and faster data speeds, both indoors and outdoors."

Vi Launches 4G Network in Sri Vijaya Puram

Vi Launches Esports Gaming Tournament

Vi on Tuesday has also announced the launch of its first esports tournament, Vi Game to Fame, featuring Call of Duty: Mobile with the grand finale at the India Mobile Congress 2024. Open to both Vi and non-Vi subscribers, participants can compete for prizes, including a trip to Team Vitality's Paris facility. The event will feature top gaming influencers and is organised in partnership with esports platform Gamerji.

Customer-Centric Plans and Services

Vi also highlighted its offerings, such as the Vi Hero Unlimited Plan, the "Choose Your Benefits" feature for postpaid customers, the Vi Guarantee Program, the revamped REDX Plan, and the relaunch of the Vi Movies and TV App with new subscription plans.

Additionally, according to a recent report, Vi's CMO said the company is focusing on gaming and content to increase its 4G subscriber base. The company also mentioned that more OTT partnerships are in the pipeline.
