Vodafone has finally revised its Rs 1,699 prepaid plan following the footsteps of Bharti Airtel. The telco has started providing 1.5GB daily data with the said prepaid plan beating Bharti Airtel in the process. To recall, a few days ago, Bharti Airtel revised the Rs 1,699 long-term prepaid plan to match that of Reliance Jio's plan. Vodafone also has a Rs 1,999 prepaid plan in some circles which did not get any revision at the moment. However, with the revision of Rs 1,699 plan, both the plans from Vodafone now offer similar benefits, so we may see the 1,999 plan going away in the next few weeks. Do make a note that the Rs 1,999 plan was introduced only in select circles, whereas the Rs 1,699 plan is available across pan-India.

Vodafone Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan: Benefits Validity

Vodafone introduced the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan last year to take on Jio's similar priced plan. Reliance Jio offered 1.5GB data per day with the plan, while Vodafone and Bharti Airtel offered just 1GB data per day with their Rs 1,699 plans. To match the plan of Reliance Jio, Vodafone launched another long-term plan of Rs 1,999 providing 1.5GB data per day for 365 days.

After the revision, the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan of Vodafone offers 1.5GB data per day, thus matching Reliance Jio in the process. Also, Vodafone is providing 100MB more data compared to that of Airtel's Rs 1,699 plan. Overall, with the Rs 1,699 plan, Vodafone is providing a total of 547.5GB data for the entire validity period of 365 days. Notably, Jio is also providing a similar amount of data with its plan. Airtel users recharging the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan will get a total of 511GB data for 365 days.

Besides the data benefit, Vodafone's Rs 1,699 plan also ships with unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit and 100 SMSes per day for 365 days. These benefits are similar on Jio and Airtel prepaid plans of Rs 1,699.

Before the revision, the Rs 1,699 plan from Vodafone used to offer 1GB daily data, 100 SMSes per day and unlimited voice calling for the same 365 days validity period.

Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan Detailed

Back in October 2018, Reliance Jio was the first to introduce the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan that shipped with 1.5GB data per day, 100 SMSes per day and unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit. The validity of the plan is 365 days. Bharti Airtel also has a Rs 1,699 prepaid plan which the telco has revised recently. After the revision, Airtel's plan offers 1.4GB daily data, 100 SMSes per day and unlimited voice calling for 365 days. Before the revision, Airtel used to offer 1GB data per day for the same validity period.

Earlier, Vodafone offered the same plan for Rs 1,499, but later on, the telco increased the price to Rs 1,699 to match Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. Having said that, Reliance Jio and Vodafone are on the same level after the recent revision from the latter, while Airtel is lagging behind the other two telcos.
