The Videocon Group, one of India’s leading global business conglomerates, today announced the launch of its GSM mobile services in Punjab and Haryana telecom circles.
Videocon Telecommunications Limited, a group company, invested Rs. 800 crore in rolling out GSM Mobile services in Punjab and Haryana circles and we will further invest Rs. 800 crore in these states to expands its network across both circles.
Deploying a future ready 2.75G EDGE GSM network in Punjab and Haryana circles , Videocon announced that its Mobile Services initially available in 6 cities named Rajpura, Dera Bassi and Zirkhpur in Punjab telecom circle and YamunaNagar, Pinjore and Kalka in Haryana circle.The operator will expands its GSM network in all Key cities of both circles by the end of this month.
Videocon offers subscribers innovative Value-Added Services (VAS) and superior customer service. Videocon Mobile Services offers an unprecedented sub 1 paise/second effective tariff, which is designed to suit all pockets with a tariff plan that is transparent and simple.
Mr. Venugopal Dhoot, Chairman, Videocon Group stated “We will leverage on groups established brand equity and vast retail reach combined with the best of breed partners to offer compelling services to our customers in Punjab and Haryana. The company will leverage a network of around 2,400 BTS at the time of launch to deliver services to subscribers across all major towns, national and state highways.” He also said that “Videocon also plans one of the fastest sequential roll-outs covering 100 key cities/towns over the next 100 days across the country.”
