If you have an Android smartphone, you have yet another reason to be happy. There are a lot of mobile recharge and utility bill payment apps available on Google Play Store but we feel that these are the 3 best apps available right now for Android smartphones.

1. PayTM

You might be very familiar with PayTM's mobile recharge service. They also have a great Android app on Google Play Store. PayTM is by far the best mobile recharge application that I have ever used on Android. It is nicely designed and very easy to operate. It supports almost all the major mobile operators for mobile recharges (17 operators), data card recharges (11 operators)  as well as DTH recharge (6 operators) options. It offers a digital wallet service where users can transfer your money and use it as needed for faster payments.

Apart from these general services, it also offers mobile shopping for apparels and home furnishings. Users can even bargain the price of those products with the seller using in-built chat feature. It has over a million downloads and over a lakh ratings on the Google Play Store which goes on to say how useful would have been for the users.

Freecharge is a relatively newer service when compared to PayTM but it has done quite well in terms of popularity and usage in a very short time. They have a great Android app named after their website where users can recharge pre-paid or post-paid mobiles, data cards and DTH services. Even FreeCharge has a digital mobile wallet for super quick payment method. Although I haven't been able to test it, they claim that it is the fastest app available where in users can recharge any service in mere 10 seconds. This app has been downloaded for over 500K times and has over 13K ratings.
