Tata Sky New SD and HD Set-Top Box Customers Can Avail Over 20 Long-Term Packs

Tata Sky is doing everything possible to lure new subscribers on board. The DTH operator already discounted its Set-Top Box prices by a decent margin, and now, it's allowing new customers to choose long-term channel packs while purchasing a new connection itself. After the new tariff regime came into effect, DTH operators removed all the long-term channel packs and started providing monthly channel packs to the customers. Also, it migrated all the existing long-term channel pack users to monthly packs. Tata Sky customers can avail over 20 Standard Definition and High Definition channel packs if they purchase a new connection from the company's website. In other e-commerce portals, Tata Sky is providing just a one-month channel pack with its new SD and HD Set-Top box.




Tata Sky New Connection Comes With Semi-Annual and Annual Pack Options

It's already a piece of known news that Tata Sky has recently slashed its SD and HD Set-Top Box priced by a decent margin. Tata Sky SD Set-Top Box now costs Rs 1,399, whereas the HD Set-Top Box is available at Rs 1,499. If a customer chooses Tata Sky SD connection, then the company displays 13 semi-annual and three annual packs for the subscription.

The Semi-Annual channel packs for SD Set-Top Box buyers are SD Kannada Super, SD Kannada Value, SD Telugu Super, SD Kerala Super, SD Tamil Super, SD Telugu Value, SD Bengali Value, SD Gujarati Hindi Basic, SD Gujarati Lite, SD Hindi Lite, SD Hindi Basic, SD Marathi Hindi Basic and SD ODIA Value. These are the semi-annual packs which will be presented to the new customers while purchase an SD Set-Top Box. Do make a note that Tata Sky's SD Set-Top Box is currently available for Rs 1,399, and on top of that, the channel pack amount will be added without any installation charges and engineer charges. Also, Tata Sky is allowing users to book a new connection by paying online or through cash on delivery.

Coming to the SD Annual Packs, Tata Sky new SD Set-Top Box buyers can choose SD Tamil Super Annual, SD Kannada Super Annual and SD Telugu Super Annual packs. As noted, the entire channel pack+Set-Top Box charges will be collected by Tata Sky at once.

Tata Sky HD Semi-Annual and Annual Packs Available as Well

Not only for Standard Definition (SD) Set-Top Box users, Tata Sky is also providing semi-annual and annual packs for users who're looking to get a new HD connection from the company. The HD semi-annual packs available for subscription are- HD Kerala Super, HD Telugu Value, HD Telugu Super, HD Kannada Value, HD Kannada Super, HD Tamil Super, HD Hindi Basic, HD Gujarathi Hindi Basic, HD Marathi Hindi Basic, HD Hindi Lite and HD Gujarathi Lite. And for users looking for an annual plan option for their new HD Set-Top Box, they can choose the solo plan of HD Tamil Super.

Similar to SD Set-Top Box purchase, Tata Sky will charge the Set-Top Box charges and semi-annual/annual pack charges at once.

Tata Sky Set-Top Boxes Available at Discounted Rates

Tata Sky has also discounted its Set-Top Boxes for new customers. The SD Set-Top Box from Tata Sky is currently available at just Rs 1,399, whereas the HD STB can be purchased for Rs 1,499. Also, Multi-TV users of Tata Sky can upgrade to an HD Set-Top Box at just Rs 1,199. It's a great time for consumers to get a new DTH connection as Trai is also looking to make changes to the tariff regime such as variable NCF charges, Multi TV prices reduction and more.
