Reliance Launches Awesome America Pack, Cuts Voice and Data Tariff on Roaming to United States

Reliance Communications (Rcom),today announced the launch of an International Roaming Pack Awesome America  for its post-paid GSM customers. This new international roaming pack will allow Reliance customers to save 98% on data usage and up to 76% on voice calls while travelling to America. The pack is available for Rs.849 for 30 days.

According to Rcom, every year, over a million Indian tourists travel to the United States and, in keeping with its stated intent of providing differentiated products and services to its customers, RCOM has introduced the innovative ‘Awesome America’ International Roaming Pack to empower its customers travelling to America, keeping them connected on their India Mobile Number at all times.

Data charges have been slashed considerably and Reliance customers who opt for the ‘Awesome America’ Pack will pay just Rs 10 for 1 MB of data usage while roaming in the United States.

The ‘Awesome America’ Pack can be purchased any time throughout the year from the reliance Retail outlet or call centre at the stated price of Rs 849, making it one of the most compelling offers in the industry today.

Earlier on October 8, Reliance Communications introduced Super Saudi Pack which provides up to 84 per cent discount for its post -paid GSM customers during international roaming to Saudi Arabia (Gulf).

I would still prefer buying a Pre paid T-mobile SIM and going for the ‘Simple choice plan’ with unlimited Talk, Text and Web starting from 50$, and maybe add a 10$ international calling pack with unlimited calling to Indian land lines. Even after their 98% discount in Data and 76% on voice it will still be a costly affair to use Reliance sim in international roaming.
