In a move towards empowering the youth of Gujarat, Nokia has joined hands with Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) and Kaushalya- The Skill University to establish a Nokia Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Skill Development. The inauguration of this CoE took place on Monday in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Balvantsinh Rajput, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Labour, Skill Development and Employment, Govt. of Gujarat.
Situated at ITI Kubernagar, the CoE is focused on setting up a Skill Lab to train individuals in 5G technology skills. The primary objective is to equip learners with the necessary expertise and provide them with placement opportunities within a short span of 4-6 weeks upon completing the course. This remarkable initiative is projected to benefit around 300 candidates in its inaugural year. Nokia’s investment in infrastructure, equipment, and training for the five labs in the CoE reflects its strong commitment to the development of skilled manpower and the growth of the 5G ecosystem.
