Waiting for MTNL to upgrade their 3G network from HSDPA to HSPA+ in both Mumbai and Delhi circles. Currently they are providing maximum downlink speeds of 3.6 Mbps waiting for them to upgrade to 21.1 Mbps and come at par with the service quality of private 3G operators like Reliance.

MTNL is doing well with somewhat good plans in Delhi and Mumbai. But the model other operators are adopting i.e increasing 2G data charges and not bringing 3G under affordability gonna hit them hard. First they aren’t able to get 3G users because of high cost of service, unfair usage policies etc. and now they will lose 2G data customers also the way they are reducing data and increasing charges. So operators gonna lose from both ends. Revenues from voice will further decline due to price rise.
