IDEA Cellular Going To Be an ISPIdea Cellular, the 5th largest mobile company powered by Aditya Birla group is planning to be a world-class internet service provider in India.

Idea Cellular is already working into to establish state of the art infrastructure and it is also believed that Idea cellulars ISP network will have Domestic Peering with NIXI as well International Peering.

The other 3 Indian biggies Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications and Tata Communications are already providing internet service in metros and some towns as all have a class A ISP license. Airtel also has license for BWA services. Reliance & Tata are offering wireless broadband over EVDO & HSPA, while Airtel is on HSPA only.

So it is not very surprising that Idea is coming through wire-line segment.
