Idea offering 1GB 4G data as promotion for upgrading to 4G sim in Himachal pradesh circle

By September 10th, 2016 AT 10:22 AM

To promote upcoming 4G services in Himachal Pradesh, Idea Cellular has started offering free 4G data to customers in that region who will pre-book a 4G SIM.

According to latest information, the company is offering 1 GB of 4G data for 4G SIM booking in HP circle which hints the launch isn’t far away. To get the free data benefits, Idea Customers need to send a SMS ‘BOOK4G’ to 12345 (toll free) from 4G supported devices. The data will be offered to the user after the 4G service launch.

Idea Cellular, the third largest operator which offers 4G services in 10 circles has partnered with Ericsson for 4G roll out in the region. However, as the company has less spectrum in 1800 Mhz block, the 4G network would be Narrow Band LTE based which can offer 10-20 Mbps of speed.

While Jio is offering unlimited 4G data (4GB/day) and calling benefits to its new users as part of welcome offer to poach customers from rival networks, it would be tough for the Aditya Birla telco to attract customers on its 4G network.

Thanks Deepesh for the tip!

All family members were brought to Jio till August itself. So no hassles now. PLAN-149 will be what my family will use and I, Rs. 499 4GB enough for me and calls unlimted too. I’m sure good plans will come in future. It’s better to give money to Mukesh Ambani. Don’t just him by performance of their stocks in market. He performs much better… Read more »
