EXCLUSIVE:IDEA TO ROLL OUT ITS GSM OPERATION IN ORISSA & TAMILNADU

Idea Cellular is all set to launch its GSM operation in Orissa by end of April and in TamilNadu by mid week of July.Idea will be offering a 3G ready EDGE network that enables the launch of high speed data and multimedia services providing a superior quality of voice and data telephony in the network.With this roll out IDEAs footprint will cross 85% of national mobile telephony market.
With over 1500 cell sites Idea will provide subscribers with a high quality of coverage and a capacity to handle 20 lakh simultaneous calls from each of 3 mobile switching centres during the peak hours in addition EDGE network will enable prepaid and post paid subscribers to experience wireless internet on the mobile and computer through data cards.
