DTH and Cable TV Subscribers Will Get Popular Channels at Rs 7 Less After Broadcasters Slash Prices

There has been a lot of activity going on in the DTH and broadcasting industry, with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) rolling out new consultation paper for solving the issues with the new tariff regime. It is worth noting that the sector regulator has just finished receiving comments and counter comments on its consultation paper and it is likely that it could bring in new regulatory changes which could cut the prices of the channels by a big chunk. Now, the major broadcasters in the country have likely foreseen this move by the sector regulator, and with the tag of a festive offer, these broadcasters have cut the channel prices beforehand by as much as Rs 7. Some of the major broadcasters like Star India, Zee Entertainment and TV18 have all cut their channel prices, and these include some of the more popular channels too.
