Today we are getting to witness one of the largest telecom events in the country, where over 500 companies have come together to showcase their technologies, and it is the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2019. In the event, the big telecom operators of India, including Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, have also become a part. As part of their event plans, Bharti Airtel has gone ahead and demonstrated 5G speeds in the event. Not only this, but the Sunil Bharti Mittal led telecom operator is also going to showcase more smart mobility solutions, smart city solutions and Smart Home Solutions as well which include a lot of new Internet of Things (IoT) equipment. Here is what we know so far about what Bharti Airtel has demonstrated at IMC 2019.

Bharti Airtel Demonstrates 5G Speeds

Out of all the equipment and new technologies that Bharti Airtel is showcasing at IMC 2019, there is one which is going to stand out from the rest and is also going to get all the attention. We are talking about the showcasing of Airtel 5G. So, in the event, Bharti Airtel took the opportunity of demonstrating 5G technology and even tested the speeds. Bharti Airtel’s demonstration showed that on a 5G network, the mobile phone was able to attain a speed of up to 1000 Mbps or 1 Gbps. That goes a long way in showing how the 5G technology will be able to takeover different use cases with gigabit speeds possible over the network and not just wired connections. As you can see in the image below, Bharti Airtel’s 5G speeds go beyond 1000 Mbps. With that being said, this is not the only thing that Bharti Airtel showcased during IMC 2019.

Bharti Airtel Showcases ICT Technologies

Since Bharti Airtel is also the leader when it comes to enterprise connectivity space and since it serves 2000 large businesses and 500,000 small to medium enterprises, the telecom operator will also be showcasing many ICT technologies which it provides to its enterprise customers. These new technologies would be powered by IoT, Artificial Intelligence and deep analytics as Bharti Airtel has noted and along with this, it has also highlighted that visitors at the Airtel stall would be able to experience Airtel’s industrial applications for Smart Factories and Airtel’s innovations for the IoT space.

Smart City and IoT Solutions Also Make Place in Airtel Stall

Being a big smart solutions provider, Bharti Airtel is also taking up projects to deploy smart city solutions. Under this banner, Bharti Airtel has solutions like adaptive traffic control system, city-wide surveillance, pollution check, traffic enforcement system, street lighting and smart signage across the city. Bharti Airtel has noted that some of these solutions would be under display in IMC 2019. Owing to Airtel’s connectivity solutions, the telecom operator is also the provider of connectivity solutions which are used in vehicles. As part of this, Airtel powers India’s first internet car – MG Hector. Airtel is combing forces with several automotive OEMs to power the next generation of two-wheelers and four-wheelers that enable families to have world-class in-vehicle experience. The telco will also be showcasing some of these technologies at the event.

Lastly, the visitors at Airtel stall would also be able to experience Airtel’s converged digital entertainment play – Airtel Xstream. Bharti Airtel has also noted that going forward, Airtel Xstream devices will be the gateway to a range of exciting IoT services for Smart Homes.
