BSNL revises voice STVs, cuts down free usage minutes

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the revision of existing voice STVs 135, 159 and 201. Apart from the revision, BSNL has also introduced new voice STVs 56, 359 and 449. The new tariff will come into effect from June 20, 2016 on PAN India basis.


Voice STV 135 has been revised to offered 275 min local/STD to any network instead of 300 min with 28 days validity. While voice STV 159 revised to offer 20300 seconds to any network for 30 days instead of 365 min earlier. At the same time BSNL has also increased free usage available for voice STV 201 from 24000 sec to 26800 sec local/STD to any network with 28 days validity.

The new voice STV 56 offer 5600 sec to any network and comes with a validity of 8 days. Another new being introduced is voice STV 359 offering 52000 sec to any network for 60 days. Similarly, voice STV 449 offer 1400 min to any network and comes with a validity of 84 days.

BSNL has also announced that all existing prepaid mobile STVs validity will be revised from ‘Days’ to ‘Calendar Days’ from 1st July 2016 on PAN India basis. This would mean that the validity of STVs will be up to 23:59 Hours of last day of validity and first day of recharge would be counted as day one irrespective of time of recharge. In effect validity of all STVs will be reduced by one day.

Now that BSNL has joined AVoId cartel, their name must be changed to AVoIdNL cartel. Lol.

In case of BSNL it’s – aaukaad 25paise ki, lekin mange 1rupaya!

Poor 2G coverage…Network strength only 1 or 2 in City…
Poor 3G Coverage….

Trai kehta hai Bsnl ney taraki ki…
Bhaut New Sites lagai 2G or 3G ki..

Mein to yahi kehta hun…
Pehle apni old site to sahi kr lo…
Wo hi sahi nahi chal rahi….
Fir new site lagana…

BSNL has added the highest subscriber addition according to trai latest report.More than 11 lakh customers has been added by BSNL even airtel has come 2nd in rank it has added more than 9 lakh subscribers.The performance of BSNL is really improving in india.

All these prepaid customers are added thru roadshows by way of issuing it free of charge alongwith some freebees, actually people are using this on use and through basis. actual real additions will not be more than 10%, in contrast postpaid connections all services ie LL, WLL, BB, GSM etc are going away from the BSNL in spite of free roaming and free night calling facilities. this is the reality, this is clearly visible in the Trai’s monthly release.

BSNL has lost 217716 wireline customers and also 0.03 million wireline broadband customers… Their steps to save landline business is going in vain… BSNL had 9.91million broadband customers on June 30th 2015 and now in April 30th 2016 its the same figures… So effectively in last 10 months no growth… In contrast every other wireline broadband companies has increased their subscriber figures… . In case of mobile subscribers customer additions alone cant judge it because their will be many inactive customers especially in the case of BSNL… Private operators regularly disconnects their non-active customers… . @MAHMOOD JUNAID BSNL is in revival stage it has just reported operating profit of Rs672 crore.Under the leadership of Ravishankar prasad BSNL future is bright.Yes BSNL broadband service is not so good so they are installing 40000 wifi hotspots in the coming 2-3 years.In FY2015-16 BSNL revenue will cross Rs30000 crore wit an operating profit of Rs2000 crore.

Yes but improvement can be seen with there coverage

Just check Bijapur city in CG
No operator provides 2g there except Bsnl
I mailed to Airtel and idea but no response
Both tell to replace sim
