India's National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) rope in National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) for marketing of its telecom product and services in the rural segment.With these ties-up NFL will offers GSM mobile and Broadband services of BSNL to the rural markets. To start as a pilot project, the BSNL-NFL combine will initially work in the markets of MP and Chhattisgarh telecom circle and to start with the alliance will offer recharge vouchers followed by GSM mobile connections, recharge vouchers, EVDO and 3G wireless data cards.
BSNL-NFL combine will also bundle services such as FREE SMS or voice mail up to 5 times daily on Mandi Prices, Soil Testing, Farming Techniques, Dairy, Weather Forecasts, Rural Health etc, in the local language of the region. These value added services will be introduced with in next few months.
PSU BSNL will arrange training to all the NFL dealers and retailers in 6 locations of MP telecom circle including Raipur, Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh and Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore and Gwalior.

Mr.V.K.Sharma CMD of NFL said that the tie-up will strengthen NFL’s efforts in providing Agriculture information to farmers.
