Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a new special tariff voucher (STV) for users under Rs 1,500 PAN-India basis. The STV costs Rs 1,498, and it comes with a validity of 1 year. The special thing about this STV is its benefits. Users get 2GB of daily data with the voucher, and post-consumption of the fair-usage-policy (FUP) data, the internet speed will drop to 40 Kbps. This voucher is perfect for people who are looking for cheap data prepaid plans for the long term. Especially the students and people working from home can utilise this voucher to complete their tasks. This new STV will be available for users across India starting August 23, 2021.

BSNL Makes Changes to Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,399 Plan

Firstly, the Rs 2,399 prepaid plan that used to offer users 365 days of validity will now come with 425 days which means 60 days more. This offer will stay in place from August 21 to November 19, 2021. Users further get 3GB of daily data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS/day with this plan. There are additional benefits of Eros Now and BSNL Tunes offered to the users.

Then with the Rs 1,999 plan, users will get 100GB of additional data. This plan also comes with a validity of 365 days. Further, with the plan, users are entitled to get unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day with Lokdhun content and an Eros Now subscription. Earlier, the company used to offer 500GB of regular data with the plan, but now that has been bumped to 600GB. Post consumption of the FUP data, the speed for the users will drop to 80 Kbps.

The benefits of the Rs 1,999 plan will be changed for users across India starting August 23, 2021. These benefits will be available for both the existing and the new customers of the telco. These are truly innovative offers from the company, but there's no big impact that they will have on the market.
