Airtel Launches Dedicated Online Store; Starts Offering Apple iPhone 7 at Rs 7777 with 30GB Data

Airtel has now come up with a dedicated online store, where the company will be offering popular smartphones on a contract basis. Airtel will offer a premium range of smartphones with affordable down payments, instant credit verification and financing, and bundling monthly plans. Airtel launched this online store as part of its Airtel Project Next.

Airtel’s online store- went live today, and the company has listed two products in the store- Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Airtel also plans to add more devices from leading brands to the store in the future.

Airtel has listed both 32GB and 128GB storage variants of the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The Apple iPhone 7 (32GB) is available for a down payment of Rs. 7,777, and the customer has to pay 24 monthly instalments of Rs. 2,499. That said, the built-in monthly instalments also come bundled with a postpaid data plan, that offers unlimited voice calls (including local, STD, and national roaming), 30GB high-speed data, and Airtel Secure subscription covering the device against any physical damage. Furthermore, you can add one family member to your postpaid account to enjoy the free benefits.

As said earlier, Airtel has listed two storage variants of the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Customers opting for the iPhone 7 128GB variant have to pay a down payment of Rs. 16,300. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus (32GB) variant down payment amount is Rs. 17,300, and for the iPhone 7 Plus (128GB), a customer has to pay an amount of Rs. 26,000. Having said that, all these plans have the same monthly instalment amount of Rs. 2,499 offering same benefits.

With this online store, Airtel competes with Reliance Jio directly as the latter has a dedicated online store for ages now. All smartphones listed on the online store will come with down payments and the monthly instalments also come bundled with a postpaid plan. The device ordered by the customer will get delivered at this doorstep.

Airtel has partnered with the Cupertino giant Apple to offer smartphones on an instalment basis. It has also partnered with HDFC Bank, Clix Capital, Seynse Technologies, Vulcan Express, and Brightstar Telecommunications to offer a great experience to the customers on its online store.

Chakri is a go-to guy for your next smartphone recommendation. Back in his engineering days, he used to play with smartphones by installing custom ROMs and that passion got him into the tech industry. He still goes nuts about a smartphone knocking his door for review. Currently managing everything at Telecom Talk, Chakri is trying to master PUBG Mobile in his free time.
