bsnl brings 4g and ftth aru valley

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a state-run telecom operator in India, has launched 4G in Aru Valley. It is a very beautiful tourist spot in Kashmir. Covered by mountains, the Aru Valley now has 4G network connectivity. It is BSNL which has launched the high-speed network in the area, and that is a major development. BSNL has been using the RAN (radio access network) and core network technology provided by Indian companies. In fact, BSNL will be the only telco in the country with indigenous 4G tech. The best thing is that this can be upgraded to 5G without any major costs.

So initially, while BSNL is testing 5G Standalone (SA), it looks like the state-run telco will offer 5G NSA (non–standalone). Bharti Airtel is also offering 5G NSA, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) is also going to offer the same. Alongside 4G, BSNL has launched FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) services in Aru Valley. This will ensure that users can get high-speed reliability and connectivity.

Arvind Pandey, principal general manager of telecommunications, BSNL Kashmir, said that this development has been a cherished goal for the company since his joining in 2023. Because of this, connectivity is now available in the remote and distant areas of the region including Keran, Tangdar, Gurez, Aharbal, Naranag Gurwatan and more.
