Indian telecommunications service provider Vodafone Idea (Vi) offers a range of prepaid plans and validity options that no other private telco provides. So far, in our series of articles covering prepaid tariff plans and packs, we have explored the benefits offered by Vi across diverse validity segments, including 365, 180, 84, 56, 28 days, and others. However, monthly prepaid plans are something that certain sections of users are keen on, as these plans comfortably cover an entire month and provide peace of mind. In the story ahead, let’s check out the monthly and nearly monthly plans offered by Vodafone Idea as of this writing.
Vi’s Hero Rs 379 monthly plan includes unlimited voice calls to all networks, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of data per day. After the daily data quota is exhausted, speeds drop to 64 Kbps. Additional Hero benefits include Binge All Night, Weekend Data Rollover, and Data Delights, which provide up to 2GB of backup data per month, claimable via the Vi app. Eligible prepaid customers also receive up to 130GB of data per year, with 10GB free every 28 days under the Vi Guarantee.
Vi Rs 345 Prepaid Plan – 30 Days
Vi’s Rs 345 plan includes unlimited voice calls to all networks, 100 SMS per day, and 25GB of data, all with a validity of 30 days. While this is not a monthly cycle plan, let’s consider it as close to a month for the story. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB. There are no other benefits bundled with the plan and customers can enjoy the bulk data offered by this prepaid option.
Vi Rs 232 Monthly Plan
Vi’s Rs 232 plan is a voice-centric plan with monthly validity. It offers unlimited voice calls and 4GB of data, all valid for one month. There are no SMS benefits included. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB.
Vi’s Rs 224 plan is another option targeted toward voice-centric users. This plan includes unlimited voice calls and 4GB of data, all valid for 30 days. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB, and there are no additional benefits bundled with the plan.
Vi Rs 218 Monthly Plan
Another plan in the monthly segment is Vi’s Rs 218 prepaid plan, which is voice-centric. It includes unlimited voice calls, 300 SMS, and 3GB of data. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB. There are no other benefits bundled with this plan, which is aimed at voice-centric subscribers.
Vi Rs 204 Monthly Plan – Monetary Benefits
Vi’s Rs 204 monthly plan is special as it does not offer unlimited voice but provides monetary benefits for voice calling. The plan comes with Rs 204 talk time and 500MB of data, all with a validity of one month. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB, and there are no SMS or other benefits bundled with the plan.
Vi Rs 198 Prepaid Plan – 30 Days
Another plan from Vi in the monetary benefits category is the Rs 198 plan. Although it is not a monthly plan, we will consider it for ease. This plan includes Rs 198 talk time and 500MB of data, all with a validity of 30 days. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB, and there are no SMS or other benefits bundled with the plan.
Vi Rs 625 Prepaid Plan – 60 Days
Although it is not a 30-day plan, let’s also consider Vi’s Rs 625 plan, which offers 60 days of validity—essentially two cycles of 30 days. As of this writing, this is the only plan with 60 days of validity, so let’s examine the plan benefits as well. The Rs 625 plan includes unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 50GB of data, all valid for 60 days. The data tariff after quota completion will be charged at 50p per MB, and there are no other benefits bundled with the plan.
The plans discussed above will give you an idea of the number of recharge options Vi offers to its prepaid customers. Technically, there is a plan with every combination, including data, voice-centric options, and Hero benefits, all within the one-month or 30-day validity segment. Currently, Vi does not offer 5G services, so none of these plans include unlimited 5G data. However, according to recent reports, Vi is expected to roll out 5G in 17 circles by March 2025.
