Orange Poland (Polska) announced that it has significantly enhanced its network in the second quarter of 2024, launching 54 new base stations across the country. This expansion boosts network range and capacity, leading to improved service quality for users, Orange Poland said. By the end of June, the operator's network included a total of 12,431 base stations.

Network Expansion Details
According to Orange, the new installations were spread across smaller towns and major cities, including Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan, and Katowice, with the highest concentration in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
Base Station Technologies
The new base stations support 4G LTE, with 37 also broadcasting 5G using Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) technology and one utilising the C band.

Orange Poland also noted that it has begun installing a site to serve the S2 expressway tunnel near Ursynow in Warsaw. Furthermore, 10 mobile base stations were deployed in tourist areas during the holiday season to accommodate increased demand.
