Salam, Edgnex, Cinturion, Emaar Ink MOU for Digital Infrastructure Hub in KSA

Saudi leading telecommunications company Salam has joined hands with Edgnex Data Centres by Damac, Cinturion Corp, and Emaar, The Economic City (EEC) to ink a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in a move aimed at driving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (KSA) telecommunications and digital infrastructure, according to the official release.




The partnership seeks to contribute to the Saudi 2030 Telecommunication Transformation Vision, a transformative initiative led by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT).

Uniting for Digital Progress

Salam brings significant expertise to the collaboration as a fully licensed provider of Fixed, Mobile, Data, and Voice services with a strong telecommunications infrastructure across KSA.

Together with EDGNEX Data Centres by Damac, which specializes in designing, building, and operating data centres in the Kingdom, Cinturion Corp, a global provider of integrated submarine and terrestrial capacity-based network solutions, and Emaar, The Economic City (EEC), the master developer of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Salam aims to explore and develop a digital infrastructure hub.

The hub will encompass various initiatives, including an international submarine cable project, data centres, fibre infrastructure, cloud services, and Internet connectivity.

Saudi's Digital Transformation

DAMAC Group stated that beyond constructing world-class data centres, the focus is on innovating hyper-connected digital hubs with top-notch security and seamless connectivity. The initiative is in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Cinturion expressed excitement over teaming up with Salam, EDGNEX Data Centres, and KAEC to explore establishing an Open-Access carrier-neutral cable landing station in KSA.

The strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks a significant milestone in the Kingdom's journey towards digital transformation.
