There is a high chance that the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) 4G contract might only be rewarded to the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). TCS had recently acquired Tejas Networks, which is a global optical and broadband company that will be very helpful when it comes to conducting 4G trials. According to Pertsol, a domestic telecom firm, since C-DoT is a public sector unit (PSU), the contract of 4G rollout for BSNL might only go towards TCS as it will be the only viable option left in the mix.
Pertsol Says System Integrators Have Not Yet Concluded Commercial Proposal
According to a Financial Express report, Pertsol has said that the three companies it had partnered with, including HFCL, L&T, and Tech Mahindra, haven’t concluded the commercial proposal with it.
It is worth noting that just a couple of days back, it was reported that HFCL, L&T, and Tech Mahindra had communicated with BSNL about the trials being unfeasible with Pertsol because there were a lot of technical issues in the solution provided by the company.
In response, Pertsol has said that it has already delivered many successful mission-critical solutions to BSNL and has also implemented its packet core for BSNL in Chennai recently.
Pertsol said that the commercial proposal with the three partnered companies, including HFCL, L&T, and Tech Mahindra, haven’t been concluded yet. The company has already invited its three partners or systems integrators (SIs) for demonstrating an end-to-end core solution according to BSNL expression of interest (EoI).
