Against the backdrop of a cricket loving nation gearing up to welcome the third season of India’s most extravagant cricketing bonanza the IPL-3, Vodafone Essar one of the leading GSM mobile service operator today announced the launch of ‘Star of the Match’(SMC) competition.
With this competition, Vodafone Essar will provide an opportunity to all its GSM subscribers to be seen on TV being honored by the winning captain during the post match ceremony. The winning captain will present the ‘Star of the Match’ with a personally autographed match ball.
Vodafone’s Prepaid and Postpaid customers can participate in the ‘Star of the Match’ competition. To participate just call 121 (toll free) from Vodafone and answer a simple question related to cricket. The Subscribers participating in the competition shall listen to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) wherein Vodafone offer may be played and thereafter a question will be asked which may have multiple answering options; It is not mandatory to subscribe for any service that being offered to be eligible to participate in this Competition.
There will be total number of 60 winners during the SMC competition. Each round shall have a different Winner and no participant can be Winner in more than one round of the SMC. Vodafone will provide each winner with a return trip air ticket and hotel accommodation at the city where the match is played.
The competition starts on March 9 and will continue till the end of DLF IPL season-3. The SMC valid till 21st April 2010.In all there may be 43 rounds of the Competition during the aforesaid period.
