Vodafone Rs 139 prepaid recharge has received a revision to match Bharti Airtel's newly launched Rs 148 prepaid plan. To recall, Vodafone launched a Rs 139 prepaid plan back in April this year with benefits of 5GB data, unlimited calling and 300 SMSes for 28 days. The plan has now received a revision and it now ships with 2GB less data benefit, meaning a total benefit of 3GB. For the unaware, last week Airtel introduced a prepaid plan of Rs 148 with 28 days validity, 3GB data benefit, unlimited calling and 300 SMSes. So clearly, Vodafone's change to Rs 139 prepaid plan is to match the Rs 148 plan of Bharti Airtel. Also, the Rs 139 prepaid plan from Vodafone is available as an open market one in select circles. Notably, Idea Cellular is also providing a similar prepaid plan in select circles.

Vodafone Rs 139 Prepaid Recharge: Benefits and Validity

Talking about the Rs 139 prepaid plan from Vodafone, it's still available in select circles at the moment. Even in select circles, it's applicable only to select users, and in some circles, it's available as an open market tariff plan. Benefits of the Rs 139 plan from Vodafone after revision include 3GB of 2G/3G/4G data along with unlimited voice calling to any number within India for a period of 28 days.

As noted, Vodafone already has three more plans in the similar price range. For example, the telco is providing a Rs 119 prepaid recharge which offers 1GB of data and unlimited calling; There's a Rs 129 prepaid plan that ships with 2GB of data benefit and unlimited voice calling. And now, we have the revised Rs 139 prepaid plan which comes with 3GB of data for the same 28 days of validity.

Lastly, there's the Rs 169 prepaid recharge which is an open market one shipping with benefits of 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMSes per day for 28 days. Other telcos like Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular also providing Rs 119 and Rs 169 prepaid recharges across the country as open market plans. As noted, Bharti Airtel now has a Rs 148 prepaid plan so the revision of Rs 139 plan from Vodafone Idea comes at the right time.

Vodafone Recently Launched Rs 999 Annual Prepaid Plan

In other news, we have recently reported the launch of Vodafone's new annual prepaid plan of Rs 999 in some circles. Vodafone introduced the Rs 999 plan in select circles taking on Airtel's open market Rs 998 prepaid recharge. The Rs 999 plan from Vodafone offers unlimited voice calling, 12GB of data benefit and 100 SMSes per day for a period of 365 days. On the flip side, Airtel is providing the same benefits for 336 days. So clearly, Vodafone has the upper hand, but the plan is applicable only in select circles at the moment which is underwhelming.
