Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Launch Expected by Early April, Will Be a Major Upgrade Over Mi Band 3

Xiaomi is ruling the India smartphone industry according to IDC 2018 report. Not just that, the Chinese company is also leading the smart wearable industry and also the Smart TV segment in India. Last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 3 which is one of the best value for money smart band one can get in India right now. New reports suggest that the successor to the Mi Band 3 is coming soon. It is undoubtedly the Mi Band 4. According to wearables centric blog, Wearable, Xiaomi is working on Mi Band 4 right now and will launch the smartwatch by the end of March or early April. It is worth noting that Xiaomi is yet to reveal official launch details of the Mi Band 4 launch. Going by the company’s track record Xiaomi may first launch the Mi Band 4 in its home market, China, and then bring to other markets including India. In India, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 sells for Rs 1999.




All We Know About Xiaomi Mi Band 4 so far

Chief Financial Officer at Huami – Xiaomi’s sub-brand that specialises in smartwatches – has revealed details about Mi Band 4 launch. Dr Cui has revealed that Xiaomi will launch the Mi Band 4 very soon in the international markets, which we believe also includes India. All the Mi Bands launched by Xiaomi in India has received a great response.

Further talking about Xiaomi Mi Band 4, Dr Cui said, “For Mi Band 4, it’s going to be in this year. It will be in 2019. But I’m not sure, it’s going to be in March and April. But, it is going to be in this year.” Dr Cui has confirmed that the Mi Band 4 will be a much-upgraded version over the Mi Band 3 and will come with several new features as is the case with all the previously launched Mi Bands.

Dr Cui also added, “Each generation we learn something, we always do better. And Mi Band 3, we — you can take a look at 2018’s volume, right. So it’s really much better as compared to the previous version. So we expect Mi Band 4 will be similar – will have a similar trend. So once we launch Mi Band 4, we expect that product will sell well.”

Rumours suggest that the Mi Band 4 may come with ECG capabilities similar to smartwatches from Apple and Fitbit. But compared to Apple and Fitbit smartwatches the Mi Band 4 will be certainly affordable.
