Airtel Digital TV Issuing Refund to Customers for Migrating from Long-Term Pack to Monthly Channel Pack

Airtel Digital TV stands second on the list after Tata Sky when it comes to providing customer support and wide-range of channel packs to the customers. A few days ago, we reported that the company has started migrating its long-term channel pack users to monthly packs and the move did not go well with the subscribers of the operator. However, Airtel Digital TV is providing the leftover amount to the subscriber’s account without fail. The leftover amount will be credited to the customer’s account and it can be paid for monthly subscription going forward. Before the Trai tariff regime kicked off, DTH operators offered wide-range of long-term channel packs to the subscribers, but if operators continue to offer the same LTR plans under the new mandate, they’ll incur losses which is the reason why operators are slowly converting their long-term pack users to monthly packs. Other DTH operators like Tata Sky, Sun Direct and so on already converted their users to monthly packs.

Airtel Digital TV Kicks Off Migration from LTR Packs to Monthly Packs

Just a few days ago, we have reported that Airtel Digital TV customers are being migrated to monthly packs from the older long-term channel packs which they’ve recharged before the new Trai tariff regime kicked off. So if a customer recharged for an annual plan of Airtel Digital TV in December 2018, the leftover amount of five months would be credited to the customer’s account which can be used to pay the monthly pack amount going forward. Talking about the plan migration, it’s in the hands of Airtel Digital TV.
