After Gmail released its new updated version to the public, the users are really happy about the features. The nudge feature on the new Gmail was also a much-awaited functionality. The ‘Nudge’ will function as a reminder in the Gmail application and will let the users know about their unread mail, so they do not miss out on something important. This new feature has started rolling out for both Android and iOS users.

According to a report by Android Police, a server-side update finally brought the new feature to Android. It is available in both versions of Gmail v8.4.22 and the older v8.4.8. Although the feature has not yet rolled out to every user just yet, you can go and check the availability of the same by seeing whether or not the ‘Nudges’ option is appearing in your settings. Also, this new feature has already been noticed in the iOS too where the Gmail is running v5.0.180422.
The new Nudges feature like we told you, will bring up the unread emails to the top of your inbox. This feature is going to be wildly helpful for professionals and businesses who receive many emails and are prone to missing some important emails in their clutter. The feature will also do the same for the follow-up emails.
This new feature comes enabled by default, which means that as soon as the users get the feature they should be able to see it in service with the unread emails appearing on the top of their inbox, along with the follow-up emails. Also, users will have the option of switching this feature off by heading to the settings menu and then going into the ‘Nudges’ section. There are going to be two toggle buttons for this – one for Suggest Emails to Reply to and Suggest Emails to Follow up on.
