Xiaomi, for the second time, reduced the price of its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in India to Rs 29,999. The Mix 2 was launched in India back in October 2017 for Rs 35,999. Since then, Xiaomi reduced its price once to Rs 32,999 and now, the price has been further reduced to Rs 29,999. The price drop is effective across all the platforms- Mi.com, Mi Home and Flipkart. This move from Xiaomi can be accounted in two ways- the launch of the OnePlus 6 at Rs 34,999 & Honor 10 at Rs 32,999, and a strong hint at the arrival of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S to the Indian market. Also, at Rs 29,999, the Mi Mix 2 is possibly the best-looking smartphone. The first price cut happened back in January 2018.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S was launched in March 2018, but there are no words from the company on when it's going to bring it to India. Some rumours have already pointed out that Xiaomi is not bringing the Mix 2S to the sub-continent, instead, it will focus on the Redmi range of devices. Furthermore, Xiaomi is teasing a selfie-centric smartphone launch in the country, but the launch will happen on June 7.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is the company's 2017 flagship smartphone with high-end hardware. The device sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, mated with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There's no microSD card slot for storage expansion though.

The major letdown for the Mi Mix 2 was its camera at the back. While most of the smartphones these days arriving with dual cameras at the back, Xiaomi went with a single 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor at the back. The 5MP front camera module was placed on the chin, which made it cumbersome for users to capture selfies. Xiaomi has added Face Unlock feature to the device though.

The smartphone comes with 43 LTE bands support along with 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack. It's backed by a 3400mAh battery. If you're looking for a good-looking smartphone around Rs 30,000, you can get the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.
