Huawei’ sub-brand Honor has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor 10 at a global launch event in London. The company also revealed the price of the smartphone, which for the Indian market is set as Rs 32,999. The Honor 10 arrives as a successor to the Honor View 10 smartphone and will be a competitor to the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone, which is going to launch in India on May 17. The OnePlus 6 is going to be priced slightly higher than the Honor 10, so, on paper, Honor device has a slight advantage. The highlight of the Honor 10 is its design. The device is elegantly crafted with a glass back and metal frame. The front of the phone houses a notch, which is possibly going to become a norm in all the upcoming smartphones.

Specifications wise, the Honor 10 sports a 5.84-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display, not a Super AMOLED panel. The display offers a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. At the heart of the phone, we get the same Huawei’s Kirin 970 chipset, which also powered the Honor View 10. It’s an octa-core chipset with Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There’s a separate Neural Processing Engine to handle the AI-based tasks. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage like the earlier launched Honor flagship smartphones.
Despite using a 19:9 display, Honor has managed to keep the fingerprint sensor on the front. Also, the scanner is not a physical one as it’s embedded in the glass. But it’s not the in-display fingerprint scanner though.
