Honor 10 is Now Official in India for Rs 32,999, Sale Begins on Flipkart Tonight

Huawei’ sub-brand Honor has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor 10 at a global launch event in London. The company also revealed the price of the smartphone, which for the Indian market is set as Rs 32,999. The Honor 10 arrives as a successor to the Honor View 10 smartphone and will be a competitor to the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone, which is going to launch in India on May 17. The OnePlus 6 is going to be priced slightly higher than the Honor 10, so, on paper, Honor device has a slight advantage. The highlight of the Honor 10 is its design. The device is elegantly crafted with a glass back and metal frame. The front of the phone houses a notch, which is possibly going to become a norm in all the upcoming smartphones.

Specifications wise, the Honor 10 sports a 5.84-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display, not a Super AMOLED panel. The display offers a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. At the heart of the phone, we get the same Huawei’s Kirin 970 chipset, which also powered the Honor View 10. It’s an octa-core chipset with Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There’s a separate Neural Processing Engine to handle the AI-based tasks. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage like the earlier launched Honor flagship smartphones.

Despite using a 19:9 display, Honor has managed to keep the fingerprint sensor on the front. Also, the scanner is not a physical one as it’s embedded in the glass. But it’s not the in-display fingerprint scanner though.

Moving onto the cameras, the Honor 10 rocks dual-camera setup at the back. A 16MP RGB sensor with f/1.8 aperture is paired with a 24MP monochrome sensor to capture the details. The camera app offers all the AI-based scenes, and it also comes with a Portrait mode. Honor also confirmed that the Honor 10 supports Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) right out of the box, which was absent in the Honor View 10 and Honor 8 Pro. There’s a 24MP front-facing camera as well with f/2.0 aperture.

A 3400mAh backs the entire package, and the phone offers USB Type-C port. It boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1; Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. The smartphone measures 149.6 x 71.2 x 7.7mm and has a weight of 153grams to it. The phone will only be available in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue colour options in India.

Honor 5X = trash.

Honor 9 lite is a good device.

The problem with honor is not specs. The phones are great.

But these devices cannot stand daily abuse by less sensitive mobile users. The build quality is not made for rugged use.

But in a normal home business environment I doubt you are going to feel this.

Im sure there wont be LTE Carrier aggregation support for this phone as well just like v10.

Honor is fooling us. No jio CA support till date

Honor v10 and even honor 8 pro has carrier aggregation, if you don’t get carrier aggregation that means there is no carrier aggregation implemented by the network in your area
