State-run telco BSNL is now offering unlimited benefits with its prepaid STV of Rs 58. This plan from BSNL goes against the Rs 59 plan of Bharti Airtel and Rs 52 plan of Reliance Jio. And it offers benefits in-line with the rival operator plans. The STV 58 of BSNL gives unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 500MB of data for a period of seven days. Private operators are also providing the benefits for seven days itself. BSNL is calling this plan as 'The Only Travel Pack,' and is aimed at avid domestic traveller as the voice calling benefits are applicable even on roaming.
Talking about the STV 58 plan, it gives benefits of unlimited voice calls to any network even on roaming. There's no daily or monthly FUP. However, do make a note that the roaming calls are not applicable to Delhi and Mumbai circles. Besides voice, the STV 58 also gives 100 SMS per day and 500MB internet for the validity period of seven days.
Aforementioned, this STV 58 plan from BSNL rivals the Rs 59 prepaid tariff plan of Bharti Airtel and Rs 52 tariff plan of Reliance Jio. The Rs 52 tariff of LTE-only Jio gives 150MB data per day for seven days, along with unlimited voice calls to any network across the country and 70 SMS for the entire validity period.
Bharti Airtel also has a Rs 59 prepaid tariff plan that gives 500MB data, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls to any network even on roaming for seven days. For some users, this plan provides benefits for 28 days, much better than Jio's and BSNL's tariff plan. Notably, Idea Cellular also has the similar plan of Rs 59 with exactly the same benefits as Airtel's plan.
On the whole, BSNL is giving a tough fight to private telcos with such tariff plans, and the company is promising that it will keep on doing the same going forward.
