Vodafone India, today said that it's now offering 4G services across 5400+ towns and villages covering seven states in Assam & North East Circle. Vodafone also stated that it rolled out over 2750 sites, which in turns to seven sites per day to expand and strengthen its network, catering to the growing demand for data and voice. Vodafone currently has over 5.5 million customers across the circle. The second largest telco has already laid down fiber network over 600 Kms in last one year to reach out even larger population. With this expansion, Vodafone's network spread to over 8000 Kms across the circle.
Vodafone has also doubled the 4G bandwidth capacity of more than 840+ cell sites across Assam & North East by adding 5 MHz more spectrum in the existing band. With this move, it helped customers enjoy data and faster speeds in the region.
Being one of the largest telecom operators in the circle, Vodafone is also committed towards the circle's economic growth. Vodafone has been increasing local employee base alongside an improved gender ratio. Vodafone says that it is one of the largest employers in the region offering direct and indirect employment opportunities to over 70000+ citizens, 90% of whom are local residents from seven states.
In the last two years, Vodafone women workforce in the circle has moved up from 16% to 24%. Some of the innovative programmes at Vodafone that encourage Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace include Inclusive Leadership Workshops, Adoption Leave, Flexible Working, Post Maternity, and Reach Home Safe facilities, among others.
Vodafone Prepaid, Postpaid Plans in Assam & North East Circle
As always, Vodafone also introduced a slew of prepaid and postpaid plans in the Assam & North East Circle. Vodafone's prepaid tariff plans start at Rs 9 and goes all the way up to Rs 458 for the long-validity plans. The Rs 9 Super Day plan offers unlimited voice calls, 100MB data and 100 SMS for one year. The Rs 448 plan gives unlimited voice calls, 1.4GB data per day and 100 SMS per day for 84 days.
In the postpaid department, Vodafone has the RED range of plans starting at Rs 399 which gives benefits of unlimited voice calls including roaming outgoing calls, 20GB data with data rollover scheme and 100 SMS for a billing cycle.
